Either an Eagle or a Bus & Car.

Well, with everybody convinced this is an Eagle, I'm going to have to say it's a Model 01, unless I see evidence to the contrary.

All of these buses we are talking about are Eagles regardless of the company name that made them. No company named Eagle made these buses prior to them being made in the US in 1975. Other than in the US, Eagles have been built by Kassbohrer (Setra) in Germany, Bus & Car, N.V. in Belgium, and Mol in Belgium. In the US, they were built by Eagle International, then Eagle Coach Corporation. Next they were built in Mexico at Eagle Bus Manufacturing then back to the US as Eagle Coach. New Eagles have been being built in Texas by Silver Eagle Bus Manufacturing since 2005.

The name Eagle is like 'RTS'. The RTS was made by GMC, TMC, and NOVA but they are all still RTS buses. Regardless of where it was made and by who, it is still an Eagle. I know most of you bus junkies know all this but for someone just passing through it reads like they are all different buses.

This bus above is an 05. You can tell because the destination sign is built into that big square area of the cap. The 01s were more rounded and the destination sign was in a rounded pod that stuck above the front of the cap.

This one's a Model 01 (1958-1968). Identified by the rounded roof cap & cap windows, old Model 01 bumper with grill, round blinkers, and torpedo clearance lights. In '69, everything went square and boxed lookin with the Model 05(cap, lights, bumper, etc...)

Note: There was one yr ('68) where the first production 05's had this front end. Impossible to tell without a side view showing bay doors and drive axles...
