Were Chevrolet Corvette offically sold in European market? |

Yes, they are, but for some time, they were sold in Cadillac dealers, market under the 'Corvette' brand, separate from Chevrolet, as Chevrolets in Europe were merely rebadged Daewoo models. |

It's even more complicated than that: Chevrolet badging came in on the Kalos, Lacetti etc around 2004/05 and so they sold the C6 as Corvette as you say. That was GMs second failed attempted in recent years at selling their American models here. The C5 Corvette, Blazer and Camaro were marketed here (alongside the Cadillac Seville STS) officially from about 1998-2001 as Chevrolet. Didn't work out but I still see a RHD Blazer around the University campus sometimes. |

The reason why I asked is because I see repeater (main picture) and extra red retroflector (?) at the thumbnail. ![]() |

There's an acknowledgement to General Motors Europe in the credits: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/235/credits2id5.jpg/ |

Right. I almost forgot those details. Fortunately, the Chevrolet brand in Europe will be closer to the US lineup now, with the new Aveo, the Cruze, and the Spark (arriving in US dealers in about a year or so). The Captiva still remains, and the Orlando is there (not available in the US, but in Canada). With the discontinuation of the Daewoo brand, there's room to make Chevrolet a global brand, exemplified by South Korean production of the next Malibu (for the local market), and the introduction of the Camaro there. With that in mind, it makes sense that the Corvette is once again a Chevrolet in Europe. http://www.chevrolet.co.uk/index.html |

@rjluna: As far as Germany is concerned, there a both "independent" importers and some Opel-dealerships (mostly the bigger ones) that offer them. Cadillac dealers are rather rare in Europe. |
