52KB12 is (or is meant to be) army plate, so doesn't work on normal check sites. I've got some incomplete lists of army plates, which show several 52KBxx numbers as Scammell Commanders (tank transporters). Other 52Kxxx numbers in the list come up as Land Rovers, bulldozers, or a handful of Bv206 Hagglunds All Terrain Vehicle. 52K312 would be total fake. |

Is this a new make or entered under another name?? |

Part of the Alvis CVRT tracked vehicle family. Originally Jaguar J60 engine, fleet dieselised with Cummins engine kits marshalled by Alvis at Telford and fitted by ABRO Donnington. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Combat_Vehicle_Reconnaissance_(Tracked) -- Last edit: 2021-07-15 15:46:14 |

The dieselisation programme for CVR(T) worked very well, and was followed by a similar style of update of the FV430 fleet, carried out at the ABRO works at Bovington. http://www.military-today.com/apc/fv430_mk3_bulldog.htm -- Last edit: 2021-07-15 15:58:55 |
