Definitely a Champion 1951-1952 (Sedan, because the back window has no thin posts) |

And why it couldn't be a Commander? |

Maybe because of the rubber around the windshield. Wouldn't the Commander have stainless instead? |

OK. Also there are no chrome spears on top of the front fenders, that were seen on Commander Regal, State, and Land Cruiser. Cf: http://hem.bredband.net/b284654/project/1951_2.htm |

Nameplate, hood ornament and crest have all been removed. To tell Commander from Champion, would need to raise the hood or look at the dashboard. (On the trunk lid, Commanders had V-8 emblems) Regal Commanders had fender top ornaments optionally, not standard. -- Last edit: 2010-02-09 18:06:20 |
