Night cub. It appears this was a mid-year change. I have found 1989's (ran the VINs) with and without the license plate bracket/grab handle. Seems the only ones I found with the older cutout seem to be camper conversions....which Opal, Ford_Guy, and others have spoken about in the past. There is a motorhome that Ford_Guy swore was a 2005 by the decal fender script but Opal also swore it was a 2006 by the body. Which leads me to believe these camper converters buy the model the year before and then after their conversion they *might* and I use that loosely change the model year to make it appear one year newer. Again this is all speculation as I do not have concrete evidence but this seems to coincidental for it to keep popping up (seems I have run in to a few lately when looking through the Ecos). Let me know if I am totally and utterly wrong (happens ![]() Edit: Here are a bunch of 1989's with the cutout/bracket.
