As far as I can see, this is a rhd car. Is this picture taken in USA, or did Ironside take trips away? |

Not in the US, but it was sold in Canada: https://www.flickr.com/photos/autohistorian/5723745138/in/photostream/ |

But rhd? |

This episode is called "Return to Fiji" and since there are no actors here it may be stock footage from there. |

Or print inverted? |

Why? Fiji is RHD. |

Doesn’t necessarily have to be Fiji. Could be Podunk and inverted print. |

This photo only shows the parked Anglia and not the entire scene. Actually, it is not stock footage but filmed on location with the main actors in Fiji. I'm sure Raymond Burr had some sort of hand in the location filming / setting as he bought an island there in 1965 with the intent of his future retirement home. The film actually follows the white over blue Holden station wagon taxi (listed separately here) as it then pulls into the parking lot of the hotel bringing Mark and Ed to assist Ironside, with both Don Mitchell and Don Galloway unquestionably on location. So while johnfromstaff posited it doesn't have to be Fiji and saying "it could be Podunk and an inverted print", some simple Ironside-sleuthing (like watching the episode or looking at the other cars from this episode) completely negates that theory. Incidentally, what is the rule of the road for Podunk, right or left? |

The rule of the road for Podunk, Indiana: Podunk, Michigan: Podunk, Connecticut or Podunk Wisconsin for instance? BTW, you surely don’t think I’d actually watch this rubbish do you? -- Last edit: 2023-01-05 22:17:23 |
