I've no evidence, but is this by any chance a Lohéac? I seem to remember reading in a ‘Truck’ magazine, years ago, about this haulier who designed his own trucks for hauling oil from Le Havre to Paris, and this seems to have some of the characteristics. |

Close, but not exactly a Lohéac:![]() It somehow looks familiar, but I cannot name it. Possibly the base of a mobile crane which could explain it sitting in a shipyard. |

Alexander, you are right,it's not a Lohéac. Lohéac was first based on american truck chassis surplus from WWII . Power engine was Daf and Berliet/Renault and cab is made of fiberglass. The weight of these trucks was the lighter was for hauling fuel for cars in service station. The last version were based on Renault G series with the engine and the cab was a fiber cabover. I think it's a cran chassis, named Richier, I have one in my collection...scale 1/43 |

A very good hint, Philippe! I found two images of a Richier RC60 model, which comes close. ![]() So far I couldn't find a perfect match, but I think we are on the right track. |

can you ask about this ?? it's a bucket wheel excavator from France /vehicle_660469.html and this truck /vehicle_23838.html and this crane was filmed in SENEGAL, not Mozambique , so FRENCH colony /vehicle.php?id=428801#Comment1563117 -- Last edit: 2014-04-06 21:32:12 |

I confirm: Sénégal was a French colony (and probably the oldest, as far as I remember). For the rest, impatient Mike, I'll make it, in time. I don't want to annoy people there, who are maybe not as geek as we are here. Furthermore, I still have some unanswered questions at photostp.free.fr or photosdecamions or avant-train-latil. (And I have no secretary.) |
