I'm pretty sure it's a Thornycroft, but I've no idea of the model or date :/

1950-57 Thornycroft Nippy Star, I believe.

J. Lyons used the Nippy and the heavier Sturdy vans, re-named in 1950 Nippy Star and Sturdy Star with the smoother cab design.

During 1952, J. Lyons and Co bought 61 Thornycroft Nippy Star diesel chassis. These were fitted with their own bodies by Normand Garages Ltd., Park Royal, London a subsiduary of the Lyons organisation since 1925.

In the early 1950s J. Lyons and Co owned over 100 Thornycrofts.

Probably a 1959+ Victor Estate Series 2, left of the Minor Traveller in the main shot - worthy of its own page? Rarer on the Database than the comely FB Estate.
Can't conclude what car is on the inside of the J. Lyons van; it looks marginally more like an A55 Mk II than a Lowline Consul but seems to have a black osf hubcap.

^ Agree probably a Victor F Estate, but too small/background to be useful sighting here or noticeable in film. Looks to me like a 307E (Anglia) van behind the Lyons van - short bonnet, tall cabin.
