Leyland/DAF 45? |

Agreed. Nice little truck; well equipped and quite lively, if you were used to a Ford Cargo ... |

You'd probably know better than I do. From what I've read, a lot of truck drivers in this country found the Ford C-Series trucks much more comfortable to drive than the Ford Cargo. -- Last edit: 2011-06-29 19:58:05 (G-MANN) |

In fairness, the Cargo I had in mind was (like this Leyland DAF) smaller than the C-Series seems to be; I'm referring to 7.5 tonne gross trucks. The Cargo had a driver's seat like a park bench, but it was surprising how long you could live with it: I've regularly driven one as far, and for as long, as the law allowed. But the Leyland DAF I once drove had a much more sophisticated driver's seat, heated mirrors and a lot of other kit the Cargo lacked. I think Ford have a reputation for what British drivers call 'gaffer's wagons' - trucks which are cheap to buy and run, but which don't cater much for the driver's comfort or convenience. |

I noted the registration as L826KSH but it doesn't appear on any of the plate check sites. But L = 1993-94 |
