Looked like a Ghibli to me. But now I'd put my money on this being a Lamborghini Islero! as rare as they are -and were even when new. Note that rear reflection on what looks like a flat trunk surface (Indy's and Ghibli's are "fastbacks"), badge lower between pop-ups than on a Maserati Indy, central air intake (both Maseratis have 2 either side of hood bulge) and door card patern.![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I started off with Ghibli then went to Islero and arrived at Indy. My first idea was Maserati due to the sloping light cover, but Ghibli didn't seem to have the raised wing edging. I wasn't convinced that the Islero grille below bumper was present, so moved on to Indy. But happy if Islero goes back into the mix for a recount - if so [6432] could have been a contender for a 1970 film. But it's RHD. And as a passing thought looking between Isleros and Indys - did they share the same flip-up headlight units, possibly supplied from an external source?? |

Looks close enough to come from the same source. In general it's somewhat surprising how these 3 have so much in common given they're designed by 3 different people and we've seen hundreds of pics of them over the years (and in the flesh if you're lucky enough) but I never thought I could have trouble saying which is which... I still bet on the Islero (also thought of 6432 before noticing interior). Even if boot is a weird reflection of something else main clues for me is the central bonnet intake and also I now noticed the chrome bumper which is a bit thinner than on an Indy (at least on those that I've found..). Also the door cards that I've found say more Islero than Indy (Ghibli is completely different in this). Just my 2++ cents! |

I'm casting my vote for Islero. The deciding factors for me are the sharply creased character line at the tip of the front fender, and the pop-up headlight covers - on the Indy the cover intersects the "vertical" part of the front, but the Islero cover is completely flat. The transition to vertical on this car is well in front of the edge of the headlight cover:![]() |

Wonder if it belongs to one of the stars or crew. This scene outside the 'Black Cock' pub ( yes really!) obviously a set with terrible plywood GPO phone box made by someone who has never seen a real one. So may be in Italy. -- Last edit: 2020-07-29 07:43:23 |

We've enough details to confirm Islero - with distinctive front wing shape, side repeater and the position lights hanging under bumper. |
