Looks like a Land Rover Series II or early model Series IIA |

We've identified this vehicle using the details you provided LAND ROVER OTHER PETROL 1961 Registration number: 5093 WD Body type: Light Utility 4X4 Colour: White Date of first registration: November 1961 ✗ Untaxed Tax due: 1 March 2001 Fuel type PETROL Warwickshire plate, likely factory registered as one of the first S2a. Has the "hot country" double-skin roof, so maybe a L-R demonstrator. SXF 836 and 654(?) are April 56 onwards, London "Allocated to Gov't Departments", no end date listed. So crossing over S1 86" and 88" transition (June 56). If my Bumper Book of Land-Rovers is correct - which I hope it is because it cost lots of pennies - 86" had more grille panel cut-outs than 88" (though same grille), so likely these are both very late S1 86". |

Factory registered Land-Rover has a lot of screen time along with the Zephyr launch vehicle so early example of product placement. The London registered examples are possibly genuine Civil Defence units although I'm not sure if "City of Bath Division" would appear on the vehicles? |
