Rolls or Bentley? Looks more like a Rolls Royce grille to me?![]() ![]() |

Bentley wheels to me, though... |

Some Rolls-Royces had very similar wheels. In the first thumbnail the metal grille doesn't look Bentley, but there's no Spirit of Ecstasy. -- Last edit: 2007-11-23 17:41:01 |

From which model was the Spirit of Ecstasy capable of hiding inside the grille? Bentley Turbo R or Mulsanne more likely? Roller had crome on the wheel arches No facelift so something between 1989-1994 -- Last edit: 2007-12-11 16:37:30 |

It is a Bentley Mulsaine |

Bentleys didn't have the Spirit of Extasy and Silver Spirit was the first Rolls able to hide it. I don't think it has a Bentley grille neither, seems more Rolls to me too.. |

Bentley Eight Saloon |

Thank you robgeelen2. From my impression, looking at other listings for both Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit and the Bentley Eight grilles the depth in the side view matches the Bentley rather than the less rounded or squarer Rolls. |

Not a 1989 but 1980-1985 because the numberplate is below the bumper (see 2nd thumb) The Eight was only introduced in the year before this change. It's possible that it's an Eight but it could also be a Mulsanne, due to picture quality there's no way of telling whether it has the slatted Mulsanne grille or the mesh Eight grille. More Eights were made overall but I don't know if there's anywhere that says how many in each year. Don't pay attention to the alloys because they've probably been changed. -- Last edit: 2013-08-09 17:09:23 |
