The only version I can think of with that style of plaque badge set slightly inwards from boot corner is a Minx Deluxe (Oct 68+). Singers had central black plaque badges, Hunters and plain Minx scripts in the corners. |

dsl, can you tell me when the 1972 Hillan Hunter new grille actually arrived ? In the autumn of 1971 or early in 1972 ? I mean the the split grille with rectangular headlights. Did the quad headlights GLS arrive at the same time ? |

^ March 72 for the new split grille. GLS also arrived in March 72, using the quad headlight grille from the Sceptre and some black paint. |

Thank you very much. I have loved Hunters since my dad in 1970 coming back from London brought to me the Corgi Toys model of the bright blue and white Australian race Hunter with the plastic cangaroo, I was 9 and found the body quite sinilar to the much more familiar to me Fiat 124 S. The body was in my opinion a bit better for the more angular shape of the roof. I didn't see an actual one untill I moved to Turin where I had occasion to meet a tired but beautiful Sunbeam Sceptre. In the following years I had occasion to travel and see more Rootes cars mainly abroad. Therefore my love for Arrows and mainly Imps increased. -- Last edit: 2020-04-29 11:12:54 |
