This is one of J Sainsbury's Mk.2 'Silver Knight tractors, fitted with a Gardner 6LX engine. The fridge units and the bespoke mirror arms are distinctive here, not to mention the livery. Sainsbury's continued to specify the Gardner 6LX engine of 150bhp, long after the 180bhp 6LXB came out, and they continued to specify the 6LX on their Borderers even as late as 1973 - the 6LX was never catalogued for the Borderer -- Last edit: 2021-01-01 02:51:31 |
