Anyway would be TDCi by power output. |

I though I read the TDDi and TDCi have the same output on some displacements? |

Yes, they have the same displacement (1753cm3) and can have the same output (75hp and 90hp) but AFAIK 115hp version was available only with common rail (TDCi). This is for pre-2006 models, since after that date the TDDi was discontinued because it wasn't updated to Euro IV normative, and new 75hp, 100hp and 110hp versions of the TDCi debuted. For differences between TDDi and TDCi see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Endura-D_engine#Endura-DI https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_DLD_engine#DLD-418 (the list of applications isn't complete) https://fordtransit.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=126014 From what I gather, pre-2006 Transit Connect with 75hp should be 1.8 TDDi (same engine version found in Fiesta Mk4 1.8 TDDi). I'm unsure about 90hp since both TDDi and TDCi existed with that output; on the Focus the TDCi replaced the same power TDDi in 2002, but the older engine may have survived longer on the Transit Connect. Anyway, I have yet to find any pre-facelift 90hp version not identified as "1.8L Duratorq TDCI (90PS) - Lynx" in build sheets ![]() Also worth to note that passenger Tourneo always had TDCi engines according to price lists, at least here. I see some discrepancies between plate identifiers and build sheets, even on 75hp version, for example: /vehicle_260377-Ford-Transit-Connect-V227-2003.html ![]() It seems TDDi is always described as "1.8L Duratorq TC (75PS) - Lynx", whereas TDCi as "1.8L Duratorq TDCI (90PS) - Lynx" Post-2006 ones (all TDCi) are "1.8L Duratorq TCD FGT (75PS)/(90PS)/(100PS) - Lynx". Brochures would have helped, but I can't find any older than 2009 ![]() So I believe only pre-2006 75hp are for sure TDDi, if I haven't missed anything. |
