It is an Austin, or a Princess 2200. Whether Austin 1800 or 2200 is not known, but the stripe and sunroof suggest higher spec. model although the wheels are not clear. The Morris and Wolseley types had round, twin headlights but upon the name change to Princess the four cylinder Princesses also had these, the six pot Princesses got the trapezoidal ones. I drove an automatic 2200 from Staffs to Somerset and back on business once, it used a lot of petrol. The Austin, Morris and Wolseley names were dropped in late 1975 and the models renamed as Princess. So, in summary, it is either an Austin 18/22, or a Princess 2200. All clear? As mud? -- Last edit: 2020-02-22 13:05:51 |

I don't think the Austins had shiny grille bits, so Princess and either posh wheels or Denovos, so HLS likely. |
