Yes, and you can see the chrome 'S' just above the bonnet badge. Twin tanks, too. The Mark I really was the purest form of these cars, wasn't it? |

Probably, yes. Certainly later versions and replacements never had the following the original Cooper S's did, although the successes (moral or otherwise!) in the Monte Carlo Rally up to 1967 might have had something to do with it. Indeed, many people (myself included) felt the same way about the bog-standard 850s, wire door-pulls and gear levers like golf clubs notwithstanding; after all, both could easily be replaced (and usually were). |

Yes, it was my car and it is a Cooper S. Bought it from South Wales about 12 months before the Heartbeat shooting. Yorkshire Television have had quite a few of my cars for filming in the series. This car now sold and has a new owner in Jersey. |
