Sold in J in minute numbers. Photo I was sent a few years ago of a 1968 Japanese Rootes range brochure

(also included Hillman Hunter, Humber Sceptre, Hillman Imp Californian, Sunbeam Imp Sport and Stiletto, Singer Vogue - so the normal UK brands, not the 1966+ Sunbeam-for-export rebranding elsewhere).

s13a wrote I've listed the Rapier. I left the year in blank as I'm not sure exactly sure when was this particular piece of footage filmed. I think somewhere in 1970-71.

1970 works for me. The Alfas seem right +/- 1 year.

Rootes retained a 50% (approx) share of the Japanese dealer network established for the Isuzu Minx (production ended June 64) which was known as Shinsei Motors, and was inherited by Chrysler in the 1967 takeover, so there was a legacy distribution arrangement. But numbers of cars sold were minimal.
