It is 1986 s.2 Prestige. Where it was filmed? If in USA, it can be CXA(uto) CX Prestige. By what I see on the web, not all had quad headlamps. |

Serious theory: If the cows are US-spec the car probably is, as well. |

Isn't it bull on the left? This can be tricky, so I preferer to stick to fence where is written "US". Coincidence? I don't think so... Seriously - there is US-style side marker on bumper, BUT by what I read right now on en.wiki, CXA wasn't the only small importer of CXes at this time -- Last edit: 2020-02-14 17:27:37 |

From ep. "The Cows of October", considered one of the worst episodes of the whole series (but not The worst). Filmed in the US of course. Though Michael Mann planned to film episodes in Belfast, Paris and Tokyo. It never happened. -- Last edit: 2020-02-16 20:52:43 |

I'm no professor of French cars, but the style of sidemarker does seem to correspond to those fitted by CXA... One of the worst episodes of the show, but also one of the rarest vehicles in it. Go figure. |

That's right, but to my surprise en.wiki is saying that in 1980s "several companies began converting and selling CXs to Americans" - so there was not only CXA. I bet CXA cars were the most "common" and it really can be one of them, but these other companies had to put sidemarkers too, if it was strictly regulated, they had to put them in similar or even exactly the same place. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Citro%C3%ABn_CX Hard to find any promo materials of other importers. -- Last edit: 2020-02-17 18:06:42 |
