dsl ◊ 2020-01-30 01:30	Square sidemarkers and lights in grille should be 400i. My book agrees that it was not officially sold in Us but says there were a lot of "grey market" arrivals.

dsl ◊ 2020-01-31 02:46	wiki info on that page looks pretty good, but I read it as 400 and early 400i looking identical with the lights behind the grille, until the late 82 refresh fully exposed them. So revising my idea to accept this as 400 or early 400i. wiki also implies it was the introduction of fuel injection on the 400i which opened up the possibility of US certification, as if previous carbs could not be made compliant.
