Just a guess - Bedford TK - because of side inndicators. |

Not a TK - because rear-side window is missing and cab is tapered from the top also is too short. Plus the TK's wheel-arches are noticeably wider. My first thought was Austin/Morris but it would be probably a heavier truck so it could be some other maker... Also it appears to be an eight-wheeler (rigid) truck rather than tractor-trailer unit. -- Last edit: 2007-10-20 16:29:13 |

This looks to me like a Leyland (AEC, Albion) Ergonomic cab. |

Agreed ..... AEC Mammoth Major or the Leyland equivalent with the ergomatic cab I believe. http://www.chrishodgephotos.co.uk/funpics/pixww/2004/04az38.jpg -- Last edit: 2007-10-20 22:59:55 |

I agree with AEC Mammoth Major TG8. As far as I know Albion had no 8x4 chassis with the Ergomatic cab. The Leyland Octopus, like other Leyland and Albion trucks with Ergomatic cabs, used this protruding indicator only from mid 1968 until the early 1970s, while AEC used them almost throughout the entire production. Also this type of rear wheel cover looks like AEC from the mid 1970s. |
