I know I've seen Walk-In Vans with that grille before, somewhere. -- Last edit: 2007-10-11 14:32:57 |

The grille makes me think "Studebaker" for some reason. |

There was a movie listed a couple of months back featuring a clown driving an Ice Cream truck. I believe it was ID'd as a Ford and I believe the grilles were the same. |

Good idea. I think you're referring to this Chevrolet: /vehicle_119347-Chevrolet-Step-Van-1954.html |

Thanks for finding it Mike. If it's a Chevy, it's a Chevy. My Ice-Cream man had an early 50s Dodge Business Coupe with a Fridge in place of the trunk lid. Can't remember seeing a grille like this. Maybe only sold on the West Coast. |

It's a 1954 Go to hzsmithmotors.com and go to CLASSIC TRUCKS if you don't believe me. |

American Body Company Step Van --> /vehicle.php?id=131584 This one has different grill, but exactly same body. Probably older (pre 1955) version. |

Not a Ford, and it's not a 1954, trust me, I grew up around these trucks. My Dad drove one for a local bakery here in Los Angeles. IF anything, it's and early to mid 60's model, all fiberglass, Chevrolet chassis, the wheels give it away. |
