Could Volvo-White be ruled out? |

With that slash in the grille, no. Otherwise it'd be the Road Commander II: /vehicles_make-White_model-Road+Commander+II.html |

The badges seem to have been removed, so it can either be a White High Cabover. Link to "i.pinimg.com" Or a later WhiteGMC WH. /vehicle_559103-WhiteGMC-WH.html |

Volvo purchased White in 1980, so yes, that slash on the grille subtly points to Volvo's ownership of White. Before 1980, the White cabover (Road Commander, then Road Commander 2) had a squarish grille composed of two vertical rectangles. After Volvo's purchase of White in 1980, White adopted the one-piece grille with the slash. Also, Volvo changed the model name to White High Cabover. |
