I believe this may be a little misleading. The gas tank changed depending on the Wheel Base (WB). Here is the 1975 brochure: https://www.lov2xlr8.no/brochures/ford/75eco/bilder/7.jpg - the club wagon at the top left appears to have the gas tank behind the rear wheel. Seems the shorter vans (124 inch WB) [E-100] & [E-150] had the gas before the rear wheel. Seems the larger wheel bases 138 & 158 have it behind the rear wheel (or two gas tanks!). I have seen some models with two circular or two square gap caps. Here is an [E-250] with dual circular gas tanks. Note they are before and after the wheel: http://www.fordcamperclassifieds.com/1975-conversion-e250-corona-california/ - 138 in wb Here is an [E-150] with dual circular gas tanks. Note they are before and after the wheel: Link to "www.ford-trucks.com" - 138 in wb Here is an [E-150] with single circular gas tank. Note it is before the rear wheel: Link to "topclassiccarsforsale.com" - 124 in wb Here is an [E-100] with single circular gas tank. Dhill, here's another website to check out. It doesn't have the full Econoline brochures, but the main info is listed under the Recreation Vehicle pages for 1978-79 http://www.fordification.com/library/index.php?/categories -- Last edit: 2019-05-07 22:49:15 |
