1301/1501 with 1971+ badging. We had 2 1974 1501 Specials in this colour. When my dad collected the 2nd brand new in Birmingham, he filled up the tank, drove 3 miles home and discovered a bootful of petrol. Called the fire brigade and chaos ensued - police turned up as well - blocked the street and wanted to evacuate houses. Eventually sorted safely, car taken away and he refused to drive a Simca ever again. |
