Volkswagen Golf Mk5 1.9 TDI |

Could be a 2.0 TDI as well. |

On second thoughts I think its 2.0 TDI, because 1.9 TDIs on Mk5 Golf often had red "DI" letters. |

Can you show me a picture? Because all 1.9 TDI an 2.0 TDI I´ve selected on "autoscout24" have silver badges. |

I thought the red badges went out with the MKIV, but then I could be wrong. |

Red badges were present on many VW products, such as Passats and Sharans |

Are you sure that both 1.9 90PS and 1.9 105PS had the same silver badge? Red DI suggest higher power output, but maybe on newer Golfs there were no such distinction. I'm 100% positive that Golf Mk4 had the red letters indicating a more powerful version of the TDI engine. -- Last edit: 2013-01-14 22:59:40 |

I searched on mobile.de and they had all silver badges, the 1.9 TDI 90hp only has the "TDI"-badge, while the 1.9 TDI 105hp has a "1.9 TDI"-badge and the 2.0 TDI 140hp has a "2.0 TDI"-badge 1.9 TDI 90hp Link to "suchen.mobile.de" 1.9 TDI 105hp Link to "suchen.mobile.de" 2.0 TDI 140hp Link to "suchen.mobile.de" -- Last edit: 2013-01-14 23:05:40 |

The one on the photo has only the "TDI" badge, so I'd say its basic 1.9 TDI 90PS, thanks for your effort. |
