My 1979 Cortina MkV 2.0GL Estate was disposed of in July 1984 in favour of a new Escort 1.6 GL. The Cortina had about 90,000 miles on it and very little rust. All the panels fitted well and it was still mechanically fit albeit on its third set of voided bushes in the rear suspension. 35 years later I remain as impressed with that car as I was the day I bought it when it was two years old. |
