Described as FLF 453 in the movie. There is also a scene at Scotland Yard in which Det. Insp. Carson interrogates a taxi driver and he mentions black Austin 16hp being involved in a car accident and further crime, but it turns out to be said about some other vehicle then.

It is undoubtedly a Wolseley. The forward position of the radiator suggests Series III, now I am near my book to double check my memory, it seems fairly small so I think 12/48. The bonnet doesn’t look long enough for a six cylinder model, but they are very difficult to tell apart.

FLF, London, December 1938, so definitely a Series III and a film star! /vehicle_1040933-Wolseley-12-48-Series-III-1938.html
