A Fordson E83W would fit a WW2 film, but by 1961 a 1951+ Thames may be more likely. |

If there is a small plate (carrying the words “A Ford Product”) on the side of the bonnet at the front where it joins the top, this will be a Thames, if not it was badged as a Fordson. The other clue is the early vehicles had two starting handle holes in the grille, as the engine and gearbox were offset to give space for the driver. I cannot see a plate on this van suggesting it may be a survivor. On the other hand, it might have dropped off. The front view is no help, as the number plate is unreadable and I can’t see any starting handle holes to count them. |

The conclusion based on whats visible and what is not, so if it looks like a Fordson and as it represents a Fordson... Also on the right looks like some sort of (RAF?) winch truck or trailer? |
