Hi, This truck was owned by Adams Trucking company (owned by James and Richard Adams) previous to being in this film. Richard K. Adams sold this to the filming company to be used in this movie. I know this, cause I was on the property at the time when they came to look at his different trucks. This should be a R-190 series, as was all his other trucks. At one time my grandfather (Richard K. Adams) had quite a few of these and older trucks at his residence in Letcher Co. close to Whitesburg, KY. This particular one always sit close to his house back when I was young. The engine covers where a brighter red at the time, it was a red / black contrast truck. They must have touched it up for the movie a tad. At the time, the film company looked at 3 different R-190 series, this one, a teal-green one, and another solid red one (which my uncle still owns). If anyone has any more information about this truck or any others that my grandfather might have owned, please let me know. |
