It's a 1947-1950 Chevrolet or GMC. Really looks more like a GMC judging by the script on the side of the hood, but i'm not going to say for certain. The 51-53 models had wing windows. |

This pickup has the early-1949+ gas tank filler behind the passenger seat. Chevrolet hood side emblem was written on 2 lines for 1949-50 models, with "Chevrolet" above the "xx00" model name (3100 to 6700). But even when this number is missing, "Chevrolet" still takes up more space than GMC ![]() ![]() (Chevy vs. GMC) So this pickup is indeed more likely a GMC. ⇒ 1949 GMC Pickup -- Last edit: 2014-10-14 15:32:14 |

Just for the record: 2nd vertical reinforcement bar, so a 125¼"/3.18 m wheelbase and 7.5ft/2.29 m bed. Which means a ½-ton 100 model (FC-102 GMC internal code until 1950) or a ¾-ton 150 one (FC-152 code). |
