1978+ MkII, but looks like a W-reg 1980/81 http://www.fordtranscontinental.nl/ -- Last edit: 2010-03-26 13:13:49 |

From link ^ ".... there were stil unbuilt orders and Ford found an agreement with Sandbach Engineering (Foden Trucks) to continue the Transcontinental assembly in Sandbach (Cheshire UK). Production of UK built Transcontinentals started from March 1982. Until late 1983 another 504 Transcontinentals were assembled." So this one is too early for UK assembly. |

Thanks, but it is faked. However OVF 689W was a genuine issue for a Cortina 1.6L, and the E here looks suspicious...... So this Mk2 date is wide open between 78-83 and could be one of the rare UK assembled, but we need something specific to justify it over the usual NL assembly. Anyone? |
