Is that blue exhaust gas an indication that this car has a two-stroke engine? DKW Munga? |

No, the munga has a different back. And the view from the front doesnt fit to a Munga. But the steering wheel doesn't fit to any Jeep. I don't belive, that there was ever a Jeep with a chrome-ring in the steering wheel for the signal horn. |

Weasel1984's front view suggests UAZ-469; horn-ring is after-market, probably. Odd things happen to cars in the Balkans. |

Not an UAZ. The windscreen and the mount of the windscreen wipers are wrong. |

I think I have got this one: a Mahindra Commander 650 The clue is, next to the one piece windscreen, the unusual windscreen wiper mount. All other 4x4s have the wipers mounted on the windscreen frame, top or bottom, while this one uses the bulkhead cover. Mahindra started exports in 1969/70. As the Mahindra model history is not so well documented on the net there is, of course, a fair chance that the model name or number differs. Perhaps our Indian specialist maruti800 can add his knowledge. |

Interesting how common they were in Yugoslavia. |

Mahindra - maybe. Commander 650 - for sure not. Film is from 1985, and Commander was produced by Mahindra from 1991 --> https://www.cartoq.com/11-forgotten-mahindra-vehicles-axe-to-armada/ 650 means that car has engine 650 DI. Second option was engine 750 DP. Without visible badge it's impossible to distinguish one from another. |
