Glass's says Ten always had bootlid. 1955 Eight 1957 Eight The reason this difference is cemented in my mind is a family legend that when I was 3 weeks old, dad borrowed an old Standard 8 for our first family holiday and we went to mid-Wales and apparently had a picnic at Dolgoch Falls. The story goes that afterwards dad pushed me in through the rear panel hatch and mum on the back seat picked me up. However two old biddies started yelling at my dad because they thought I was being cruelly shut in the boot. Needles to say I remember none of this, but the anecdote was regularly trotted out over the decades.
dsl ◊ 2019-07-04 12:32	Possibly this 1958 Eight (822 YUA), a film rentacar with matching visor, mirrors and headlight peaks. But if so it means a bootlid which for whatever reason is not recognisable in first thumb, unless there is a slight blur for the boot hinges.
