Mysterious 2CV... It's a AZ model (hood without visibly welded joint, no aluminium strips on the hood or on the doors under the belt line) that has been built in Belgium: differently coloured headlight (Gris Rosé), rubber frame with grey plastic inlay around the windows in the rear doors (since 1958 on Belgian cars, never on French ones) and a steering wheel with thicker spokes (but that was only standard on Belgian AZL and AZUL models). But why is there a Belgian 2CV in France? |

Perhaps the (Belgian?) driver was looking for an excuse for a nice drive to France, so he decided to test out a new position for the (non original) mirror? The holes just above the doorhandle suggest he tried a different fitting before that wasn't quite satisfactory... -- Last edit: 2007-07-24 10:25:47 |
