Bus for jfs. Slight impression onscreen that the plate ends in HA, and may even be 1234 HA format. But not definite.

D9. The last home built double decker from the Red, excepting the two D10s, but they were not adopted for general use as the firm ceased building its own buses.

Location is the road opposite the forecourt of Stafford railway station. The wires are not yet visible, and yes, your assumption of xxxx HA plate format is possible as all new BMMO buses built by the company were registered in Smethwick at this time.

The earliest bus with this pattern of numberplate was 2945HA, fleet no. 4945, into service December 1961.

Older members of the class had three numeric three alphabetic plates.
