dsl ◊ 2012-11-22 03:38	I can't explain CDN XJ12s directly but: - CDN was Commonwealth so cosier to UK in loyalties, and had reduced import tariffs (possibly until UK became EU integrated) - CDN emissions requirements were less stringent than US into at least mid-70s and possibly longer; many UK cars exported to CDN well into 70s, long after US stopped - eg Minis, Cortinas etc and often with weird safety bumpers.

Sorry to doubt you, dsl Funny how the Americans thought the V12 was too thirsty when 5.3 litres was quite modest by their standards back then.
