I would agree Authi by the location & shape of the rear licence plate lamp. |

Lastinpurple had a discussion with Antoine about that, he think we should name Authi cars as Authi as we do with the Italian one i cant recall the name of ![]() |

The Italian ones are baged Innocenti and made by Innocenti, but if I recall this discussion well, the Spanish Minis were bedged Austin, made by Authi, so Authi just being the name of the production company, not as the name under which the cars were sold to teh public (Cf PSA is the company that produces Peugeot and Citroën, but it isn't a car make; VAG is the company that produces Volkswagen, Audi, Skoda and of course SEAT, but VAG isn't the brand; FASA-Renault is the Spanish company that produces Renault, but the cars themselves are just labelled Renault.) It would be interesting though if it is possible to find Spanish-built Austins actually badged as Authi... |

We discussed on that and they were never sold as Authi, but as Mini From here it is difficult to say if it is an Authi, body is the same as British made Mini, contrary to the slightly different Innocenti Many compoments were made by Femsa instead of Lucas. This Mini is 1970+ |

On several commercials they use the British Leyland Authi for name the cars, and at many forums they also call the cars Authi instead of Mini, Austin or Morris. And the dealerships were also called Authi. I'm looking for TV spots and commercials to prove it. |

Some adverts: http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/adverts/advauthimini.jpg http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/adverts/advelmini.jpg http://www.austin-rover.co.uk/adverts/advnuevocooper.jpg No Authi badges on the car (on the wings it was Leyland España). I used to have a Pampelona made Cooper. No mention of Authi on the papers...but Morris! |
