Looks like a James Young Touring body on a Silver Cloud - not big enough to be a JY Phantom, although difficult to be sure. No idea if there were parallel JY Tourings on Bentley S. No idea if this is too good to be true, but some hopeful googling popped up with 1963 ROLLS ROYCE SILVER CLOUD III SCT100 JAMES YOUNG TOURING LIMOUSINE . "Body number 4144 1962 Paris Salon Car Chassis Number: LCAL 1, Engine Number: CL1A. .. the first Silver Cloud III LWB made. It was taken straight from the factory to the Paris Salon, where it was displayed by the French importer Franco Britannic Autos. It was delivered in September 1962 to its first owner a Mrs. H. Worms of Paris, France. The car came to the USA in 1977 when Mr. William Whitehouse of New Jersey purchased it. Some of the wonderful features on this car are; rear division window, electric aerial and windows, rear reading lamps, Speedo in KPH, lambswool rugs, and vanity accessories." |
