This vehicle has no canopy over the engine compartment to the left of the driver's cab so cannot be identified as another Maudslay/Brockhouse. Without the registration number, it's guesswork unless anyone knows the fleet in close detail.

This is the only view of it.

Found a Leyland with the same coachwork. Could be one of their half cab models? Tiger?

Hey, that Tiger has a page. Guess that means whatever this is has a Burlingham body.

Western had at least one Burlingham-bodied Leyland.

"Tiger" is a chassis name. What design of body goes onto it is completely at the behest of the original purchaser, so you cannot describe the Tiger as a half cab model. There are full fronted Tigers as well, like the 1949 Bournemouth Tiger PS2/3 with Burlingham coachwork you have shown (JLJ401). There are even double decked Tigers with three axles, as run by Birch Bros.

So the most you can say about this bus from this view is it "might be" something, and it is not CAG450, as there are detail differences like the windows, the roof ventilator, and the fuel filler.

Seems to me that we can at least say the bus in question has a Burlingham body.

Western SMT had four types of chassis fitted with this sort of Burlingham coach body in 1948-49. It isn't a Daimler CVD6 because those were all sold very quickly and were never received the red/cream dual-purpose livery. The options are therefore AEC Regal III, Leyland Tiger PS1 or rebodied 1934-37 Leyland Titan TD3/TD4.
