| ◊ 2017-04-29 23:50 | I don't think Eaton is correct it's rather YALE , you can see on the side it has a YAle logo this one is from 1971 and clearly has YALE on the side while eaton on the rear ![[Image: imagesqtbnand9gcsgw0ianfc9_bjfexlzuea155ty_t3w2nyodi0nhx5zry7ep-i7.jpg]](http://pics.imcdb.org/13592/imagesqtbnand9gcsgw0ianfc9_bjfexlzuea155ty_t3w2nyodi0nhx5zry7ep-i7.jpg) this one is advertised YALE-EATON Link to "heavycherry.com" -- Last edit: 2017-04-29 23:52:33 |
| ◊ 2017-04-29 23:51 | or this brochure has Eaton but the forklift has clear YALE markings ![[Image: eaton-yale-gc-glc-gp-glp-gdp-gdc-forklift-service-shop-repair-manual-book-048b45faa0cbe1c4b9c8127b2e.jpg]](http://pics.imcdb.org/13592/eaton-yale-gc-glc-gp-glp-gdp-gdc-forklift-service-shop-repair-manual-book-048b45faa0cbe1c4b9c8127b2e.jpg) |
| ◊ 2017-04-29 23:54 | But it was marketed as Eaton, or as Yale? |
| ◊ 2017-04-29 23:56 | not sure but on Yale's history profile this appears I think naming it YALE seems the safer option plus I haven't seen any Eaton forklift which doesn't have YALE markings on it -- Last edit: 2017-04-29 23:59:43 |
| ◊ 2017-04-30 00:04 | Here is borchure without Yale name, from 1971: ![[Image: eaton.jpg]](http://pics.imcdb.org/th5605/eaton.jpg) I think, that when forklift has Eaton name on the back, it was marketed as Eaton, not Yale (badge Yale on the side means probably only belonging to the Yale concern) From Wiki: "In 1958 Eaton Corporation acquired Fuller Manufacturing. The company name changed once again in 1965 to Eaton Yale & Towne Inc. after the acquisition of Yale & Towne Manufacturing Co. in 1963. Stockholders approved the change to the company's current name in 1971. In 1978, Eaton Corporation acquired Samuel Moore & Company, Kenway Systems, and Cutler-Hammer in 1978." |
| ◊ 2017-04-30 00:36 | Jale this is problematic because I bet a lot of forklits are listed as YALE on IMCDB because you can see clearly see Yale on the side and pillar while Eaton is only at the back which is not visible !! so this is a real minefield !!!!! and in many sale ads you see them at best as "Yale-Eaton" never really just as Eaton -- Last edit: 2017-04-30 00:38:53 |
| ◊ 2017-04-30 00:39 | True. But I think Eatons in fact are quite rare and most of the forklifts with Yale on the side (without visible rear badging) are indeed Yale. .gif) -- Last edit: 2017-04-30 00:41:14 |

| ◊ 2017-04-30 00:46 | maybe add model then ? main one seems to be a diesel with pneumatic tire so accodring to brochure a GDP -Series ? ![[Image: eaton-yale-gc-glc-gp-glp-gdp-gdc-forklift-service-shop-repair-manual-book-048b45faa0cbe1c4b9c8127b2e.jpg]](http://pics.imcdb.org/13592/eaton-yale-gc-glc-gp-glp-gdp-gdc-forklift-service-shop-repair-manual-book-048b45faa0cbe1c4b9c8127b2e.jpg) |
