Most likely a `92-`94 318i with those wheel covers, and no fog-lights. |

I don't think the fogs were standard issue on the e36 318i or even some of the early 325i (the e36 318ti is another story) regardless of year, I've got a 96 318iA with no fogs and the same wheel covers. The only real somewhat consistant and easy way i've found to narrow down the year (with no obviously year specific details) on e36s is the type of side indicator on the side fenders near the front door (works for the e36 ti also). Early e36 (92-94 i believe although not sure about the cutoff, might be 93) didn't have them, 95-96 had orange indicators with a big black outline, and the 97+ had a plain orange one. There may be some overlap in the years, but for the most part it works. -- Last edit: 2006-05-24 08:07:43 |

In late response to amdsupport, when it comes to the E36 318i identification it's easy. Every E36 318i or 318is that I have every seen has had NO foglights (just grey plastic pieces in place of them), wheel-covers, and a single exhaust tip. E36 325i, 325is, 323i, 323is, 328i, 328is... ALWAYS had foglights in the US. As far as the extra blinker light, those are interesting observations. In `95 all BMW's had this extra blinker light. -- Last edit: 2006-11-06 21:00:36 |
