According to my book "Volvo Lastbilar då och nu" (ENG: Volvo, Heavy vehicles then and now) by Pat Kennett 1979-81, on page 25 it is showing a remarkable similar vehicle. The text says (my translation): Chassis from cars were often used for coch building vans. On the PV655 chassis a series of elegantly looking ambulances were built during the years 1933-35, for the Swedish Red Cross. Actually it can be both of them. The difference between PV (= PersonVagn (=ENG: Automobile or car, instead of truck)) 650 and 655 is that 650 had a 55 hp 3010 cc DB engine while the 655 had a 65 hp 3266 (or 3366?) cc EB engine. PV 650 and PV 650 Special (the latter specifically developed for hearses and ambulances) were built during the years 1929-34. 206 were produced. PV 650 was built during the years 1933-35. 62 were produced.
