jpts ◊ 2020-10-13 16:24	This scene was a reenactment of the shootout between the Boston Marathon Bombers, Tamerlan and Dzhokhar Tsarnaev and the police officers that occurred on Laurel Street in the Boston suburb of Watertown, Massachusetts in the early hours of the 19th April 2013. The shootout lasted seven minutes and involved the officers from the Boston Police Department, the Boston University Police Department, the Cambridge Police Department, the Massachusetts State Police, the MBTA Police Department and the Watertown Police Department. In the shootout, 200 to 300 rounds of ammunition were fired, 56 from the bombers, with several crude grenades and one pressure-cooker bomb were thrown. The shootout resulted in the deaths of Tamerlan Tsarnaev who was ran over by Dzhokhar as he made his escape in the Mercedes and succumbed to his injuries while in custody at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Centre in Boston at 1:35 am and Boston Police Department officer, Dennis Simmonds who later succumbed to his injures from a grenade attack on the 10th April 2014. -- Last edit: 2024-04-28 15:04:19
