The difficulty here is to tell whether this is a bus or truck chassis. Without knowledge of the actual vehicle or the types operated at the time I can make no more than a guess, and I won't sink that far. |

Yes, axle looks a bit far forward for a bus chassis. |

Research complete - 1963 AEC Mercury reg. 3982RU , HCB-Angus bodied as a PEST = Pump Emergency Salvage Tender, stationed Bournemouth Fire Station , Hampshire Fire Brigade , spent some time as Traveller home see http://www.travellerhomes.co.uk/?p=11712 Not currently taxed probably now scrapped.
