D plate so 86/87. Looking very closely at the grill it is a 1986 model, 1987 ones had horizontal slats. 1986 was the first year for the front bumper/spoiler like this. -- Last edit: 2014-12-22 19:09:02 |

Land Rover police demo? |

D124ESN = Range Rover EFI registered January 1987, but built before November 1986 with this grille. Dundee plate, which makes no sense for anything. A Land-Rover demo would normally be registered in Coventry or Birmingham, a real Met Car in London. It's not Tayside police either as the livery doesn't fit. I don't think a prop company would go out and buy a brand new Range Rover (even if a dealer - at the other end of the country - offered them an excellent deal on unsold stock), so maybe something put together by a equipment manufacturer? Also appears here: /vehicle_880035-Land-Rover-Range-Rover-1986.html |

Some of the cars in The Bill are sometimes prop cars that appear in other shows for example /vehicle_1359489-Rover-820-R17-1996.html |
