Does not appear to be a 1928 Essex : 1927/8 Essex and Hudson cars had " Suicide" ( rear hinged )front doors.Wheelbase also appears too long for an Essex it obviously looks a seven seater car .Needs further research.

The picture is distorted making the car look longer than it really is. It appears to have no front brakes but is on 20 inch wheels so that narrows it down a bit. Apart from the distorted length it looks like a 1926 Dodge.

This is my 1926 Reo. Good observation on the two wheel brakes -- when I first bought the car it wouldn't stop. I realized the brakes were installed incorrectly -- once repaired, I was surprized just how well it stopped. Interestingly, my Rickenbacker is 3 years older, and four wheel brakes. Rickenbacker was the second US company to convert to 4 wheel -- after Packard.
