Snookie also thought the same thing here 10 years ago. It does indeed look like unused or leftover footage that didn't make the final cut in Striking Distance and was recycled for this movie 14 years later which explains the older cars in this scene. The other background cars also match from another scene in Striking Distance: And here this whole time I thought they intentionally wrecked older cars for this scene to save money when it turned out that they were being even more cheap by using old footage.  Funny thing to note is that both movies starred Bruce Willis. |
