2009-2013 Dodge Ram 3500 4x4 crew cab dually with the 6.7L Cummins diesel engine and 6-speed manual transmission. Pretty sure it has the SLT trim. "Aged" to look older than it actually is, with faded/peeling paint and simulated rust. Though this truck is no more than 5 years old in real life, it was probably supposed to be about 15-20 years old (or older) when this movie took place. The truck is very beat up and a few scenes hint at the fact the air-conditioner, among other things, no longer works. |

2009-2013 would make this just a Ram 3500 4x4. |

2009 was still Dodge, Ram name started in 2010. |

Heavier models didn't get this face until 2010. |

Based on the few scenes that show the updated dash & gauges, and the time of filming, this would either be a 2013 or (less likely) a super early production 2014. |

I give the son credit for keeping his dad's truck going all those years after he left (especially in the dystopian future they're living in where supply chain issues are no doubt a problem) The son loses points for cramming those obviously shitty AutoZone $30 auxiliary offroad lights into the grill. Still, cool how production thought to change the vehicle at all showing the passage of time from McConaughey to Affleck. |

his father taught him to change tires without a spare, what are you talking about, he definitely wouldn't have installed these headlights -- Last edit: 2025-03-06 21:00:01 |
