 ^ probably not - it's a Reading plate (not factory) and with all the other nearby KBL combinations probably fleet registered. DVLA gives H62 KBL: - ✗ Untaxed Expired: 01 October 2002

The top of the Xmas tree spec 2.9 Scorpios were Executive (discontinued Feb 91 - 2wd or 4wd) which had mirror-finish chrome alloys - /vehicle_578492-Ford-Granada-1987.html . The 24v Cosworth Scorpios were launched Feb 91, so pretty close after this one was registered, and with a factory Essex plate I'd have accepted it as 24v. But I think this is normal Scorpio which has just ended up with lots of dealer-fit options.

 The spoiler, bodykit (it has one) and wheels were all RS accessories.

The Reading plates are odd, almost all newish Fords in TV of this era was registered there. Sometimes we also see stickers and plates from a dealer named 'City Ford': http://pics.imcdb.org/7478/fordmondeo002619.jpg

I wonder if this dealer acted as a proxy for Ford supplying cars to film crews?

 Or maybe a Reading-based fleet/lease supplier? In early 90s, Kennings used to churn out thousands of fleet/lease/hire cars with xKY combinations (Sheffield issue, although Kennings actually operated out of Chesterfield) - most of the Fords, Rover R8s, 309s, Cavs, Astras and whatever else I got issued with in those days had xKY plates.
